HIGHLIGHTS |
Effective for Mortgage Loans registered in DUS Gateway as of January 1, 2024, all applicable Mortgage Loans must be registered and submitted in DUS Gateway using APIs. |
Fannie Mae Multifamily is announcing a new requirement to register and submit individual Mortgage Loan transactions. Beginning January 1, 2024, you must use DUS Gateway APIs. This will increase speed and efficiency, reduce rekeying errors, and allow more time and attention for customer needs. DUS Lenders implementing APIs from registration through submission realize an average savings of 25 minutes for each deal.
Primary Changes
To improve processing efficiency and data accuracy, you must use DUS Gateway APIs to:
- register and submit applicable Mortgage Loans; and
- create the following data elements:
- “Deal Identification”;
- “Property”;
- “Deal Participant”;
- “Pre-Review and/or Waivers”; and
- “Loan Options”.
This change does not apply if:
- you are a non-DUS Lender;
- the Mortgage Loan is within a
- Credit Facility,
- Bulk Delivery, or
- portfolio; or
- you created less than 30 individual deals in DUS Gateway in 2022.
If you fail to use APIs to register and submit a Mortgage Loan after the effective date, the Delivery Fee will increase by 3 basis points per the DUS Pricing Memo.
